Sankranthiki Vasthunam Plot Summary
Yadagiri Damodara Raju (Venkatesh) is a retired cop who resides in a happy family of four children in Rajahmundry with wife Bhagyam (Aishwarya Rajesh). His idyllic existence goes asunder after his former girlfriend, ACP Meenakshi (Meenakshi Chaudhary), involves him in the venture of rescuing kidnapped NRI CEO Satya Akella (Avasarala Srinivas) from the gang of Biju Pandey (Upendra Limaye). The CM (Naresh) agrees to an undercover operation, whereas Bhagyam thinks there is revived romance and insists on the mission- with her son, father and maid!
Anarchy breaks out: They feign the jail escape, but Papa Pandey (P. Sai Kumar) dies by accident on a cliff. Raju puppets the dead to deceive Biju during the rivalry between wives and gang shootouts. Shot at Rajahmundry, Hyderabad and Uttarakhand, the finale is a scene where Raju is killing enemies, yet balancing between cinema and family. Meenakshi is the new neighbor and she teases sequels.
