Chandrababu Naidu Education
The initial training Naidu received was in Seshapuram, where he attended primary school and Chandragiri Government High School until 10 th grade and used to walk long distances to school. In 1972, he got a BA from Tirupati, Sri Venkateswara Arts College, and in 1974, an MA in Economics at Sri Venkateswara University. He began a post-doctorate thesis on the economic thoughts of N.G. Ranga and abandoned it to politics.
Chandrababu Career
The leadership of Chandrababu Naidu is a mixes student activism, Congress origins, dramatic TDP transformation and visionary leadership. Being a student of Sri Venkateswara University, he became a leader of unions and also in 1975, he became a member of the Indian Youth Congress, where he was in support of Sanjay Gandhi at the time of the emergency. Having been elected the youngest MLA in 1978 at Chandragiri (Congress), aged 28, a minister (1980-1983), and a member of the cabinet, and came into contact with NTR with the portfolio of cinematography, technical education, and irrigation.
He lost in 1983 and joined TDP after the elections 1986 and was the general secretary and helped during the crisis of NTR in 1984. He organized opposition well in winning Kuppam in 1989. Chandrababu succeeded NTR as CM at 45, as the Finance Minister (1994) organized a coup against himself in 1995, a coup that was aimed at liberalization.
His first (1995-1999) term underlined IT, second (1999-2004) followed the landslide of TDP as the convenor of the national clout (1996-1998) and sympathizer of the NDA (1999) despite the 2003 PWG assassination attempt. The opposition roles were caused by losses in 2004/2009.
The first CM of residual AP after bifurcation in 2014 was Amaravati, which he built to the top Ease of Doing Business, and Kia/Foxconn. TDP left NDA (2018) in the special status; he lost in 2019, and in 2023 was arrested in a skill scam, cleared (2026). Amaravati rose again with his fourth term of office due to the 2024 strategy alliance.
On the business front, he established Heritage Foods (1992, public 1994), which has now become a family business with 26429m turnover (2021- 22). He sits in the chairman’s position in GFST (2020) and NTR Trust, health/education.
